Wellness

The National Wellness Institute (www.nationalwellness.org)  has reached a general agreement on the aspects that defines wellness as follows:   The 6 dimensions of wellness

  • Wellness is a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential
  • Wellness is multidimensional and holistic, encompassing lifestyle, mental and spiritual well-being, and the environment
  • Wellness is positive and affirming
  • The definition of wellness, long used by the National Wellness Institute is consistent with these tenets. Wellness is an active process through which people become aware of, and make choices toward, a more successful existence.

Awareness, conscious choice, positive motives and being grateful for the process drives a person to be well in their lives.  There are many great topics to share on the topic of wellness.  As we try to enhance wellness in our lives, we feel driven to share our story and experiences.  We hope you enjoy this chapter and hope that it is uplifting to you in many ways.  We’re grateful for the opportunity.
