Together In Solitude

Intentional Living

“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

Jack London, Jack London’s Tales of Adventure

“Intentional living is the art of making our own choices before others’ choices make us.”
Richie Norton

living an intentional life
Jason’s grandfather lived an intentional life as a forester, living a life he loved in nature.

Intentional living is something that we have found to be so important to us as we shape our lives.  In a world and society which seem to consistently contribute to our decisions and life planning, it is healthy to focus often on what we truly wish to make of our lives.  What are your talents and hobbies?  What things do you value most?  What truly makes you happy?  What can you contribute to create value and happiness for others?   It’s amazing how diversely talented and caring the world truly is.  If we took the time to develop our individuality and live a motivated life, perhaps we would all be happier and make the word just a bit better.  It’s simply about preparing yourself to make authentic choices in your life and assess those choices along the way.  Don’t be rushed, be honest with yourself and be selective.  Within our blog, we’re thrilled to share some thoughts, experiences and choices we have made regarding intentional living and decision making.  We hope you enjoy what we have to share and it may lead you to make some thought-filled decisions of your own!
