After a 5 year stint living in Helena, Montana we purchased a 40 acre woodlot in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 2014. This was a key move in our lives after a long discussion of what we as a couple aspired to pursue with our “collective missions . ” At the time it was a bit of a leap of faith, but isn’t that what life should be all about? For us it has greatly paid off and has opened our eyes to the beauty and diversity of this unique region of the United States. From ancient cedar forests, blue-ribbon trout streams and turquoise lakes to vast ag-lands, fruit orchards and wine country; the state of Idaho has a wide array of sights to explore.
We are fortunate to call such a place our home base and are eager to share our experiences with you. We are gradually and tastefully transforming our wilderness 40 to a unique natural area with conservation in mind. For those interested in visiting the area, we are working on posts to help highlight our favorite adventure spots, tourist activities, byways, restaurants and hidden gems nestled here in the north Rockies.
